Intershop-Tower Jena
The Intershop Tower, the former university tower and distinctive symbol of the City of Jena, is also the headquarters of the globally active software company, Intershop. As a leading supplier of e-Commerce software for central management of all online business channels, Intershop meets the needs of major companies all over the world, like ABB, Hewlett Packard, Quelle and T-Com.
Intershop commissioned Die Werft to come up with a suitable reception area. We came up with a design for a multifunctional lobby that would not only meet the brief of our client for a suitably representative reception area, but also provide versatile spaces for networking, press events and much more besides.
As well as functional spaces like the reception area, gathering point and press room, a VIP lounge with special sound-proofing and air conditioning was also completed. The second phase of this project is to develop the “World of Intershop” – an interactive exhibition and entertaining showcase of the company’s products and services. The aim is that visitors will be emotionally engaged by this display on arrival at the Intershop headquarters and positively disposed towards the company.
